NEWS ABOUT NATIVITY 2009
It's been a privilege for us to bring the Nativity to our friends in North County for the last 20+ years. We've loved it.
This year, our leadership team has decided to take a break, step back and look at the effectiveness of the Natitivy. So you know, it's not about money or time or interest. No one's mad at anybody, our church isn't fading into oblivion (in fact, our relationships, sense of mission and desire to reach out have gotten stronger this year)...it's plainly and simply about mission.
We're in the process of reinventing ourselves as a Church and thought it would be wise to look at things like Nativity from a distance rather than up close.
We know it's a warm and treasured Christmas tradition for so many of you. For those of you who are Christians...pray for us as we explore where God wants us to go next. We really want everything we do to be in line with Jesus own mission statement (Luke 19:10). If you aren't a follower of Jesus and want to explore the meaning of Christmas with us, join us Christmas Eve @ 7PM for an hour of Carols and Candlelight.
We love you North County!
PS If you'd like to help us as we figure out how to best meet the day to day needs of the people in North County, would you take 5 minutes and fill out a Community Needs Survey we've put together? You can access it by clicking here. Thanks!
